This is The Unstoppable Singer and today I’m chatting live with Charlean Carmon! A Chicago native, Charlean Carmon is a singer, songwriter and vocal producer whose vast experience includes film, television and tours. Her film credits include Nope, Coming 2 America, Bad Boys For Life, Just Mercy, Deadpool 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, Hidden Figures, Rio and Dreamgirls. Charlean is a true vocal chameleon, able to seamlessly transition from genre to genre. She has worked as a backing vocalist for a long list of artists that includes Christina Aguilera, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Shania Twain, Deborah Cox, John Legend,Cynthia Erivo and Leonard Cohen. She has made over 800 national and international television appearances. Some of which include The Emmys, The Grammys, The Academy Awards, The American Music Awards, The View, The Late Show With James Corden, Wetten Das (Germany),Fame Academy (Spain), Top Of The Pops (UK), Everybody Hates Chris, The Four, The Kennedy Center Honors, In Performance At The White House, My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood, Saturday Night Live and seven seasons of American Idol. In addition to working as a backing vocalist on American Idol, she stepped into the role of vocal producer for the show’s iTunes sessions for 3 seasons. Her off camera credits include National Treasure, Young Rock, Bless The Harts, Carnival Row, The Get Down,The Good Fight, FOX’s Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Simpsons.
